The Sorrento Unit is currently has 30+ highly trained volunteers from all walks of life. We provide emergency assistance to the Mornington Peninsula Shire from Portsea to Mt Martha and out to Flinders. We are respond to calls for assistance 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
 What We Do Our primary roles include the following; Our Support Roles Our Unit also provides assistance to other emergency service agencies such as the Police, Ambulance and CFA. During large storm events we can also be called upon to assist other SES Units outside our normal service area. Some of our support roles include; - Supplying lighting to Police, Ambulance or CFA.
- Assist RSPCA or Council Rangers with animal rescue.
- Assist Police with line searches or crime scences.
- Assist Police with missing person searches in both urban and rural/bush settings.
- Assist other Community Organisations at local community events.
