The members of the Sorrento Unit of the Victoria State Emergency Service (VICSES) are a group of volunteers who provide immediate assistance to the community during emergencies.

Our unit performs a wide variety of services including, General Rescue, Search and Rescue, Storm Damage as well as Road Crash Rescue. Our service area is one of the largest covering the southern section of the Mornington Peninsula ranging from Portsea out to Flinders and back across to Mount Martha.

Sorrento Rescue One

A few years ago the unit had only four members. Now our numbers have reached into the 30's and are rising. With the increasing numbers and skills, the unit is going from strength to strength.

We also provide support to other emergency services such as Victoria Police, Metropolitan Ambulance Service, CFA and help other local community organisations at events.
